Description
A special release of my greenhouse-grown Gymnocalycium pflanzii. These do not have any subspecies or locale data associated with them, and as I am fine-tuning my collection, these no longer quite make sense.
The smaller of the two is roughly 4″ across, and the larger is nearly 6″ across. I have had both for several years, and they are extremely well established, beautiful, and BEEFY.
Bright green bodies, with thick, pronounced spines. Not enough fluff to be comparable to a var. tomina. Too matte of a body to be a var. riograndense, and they don’t turn purple in the winter like the albipulpa. They’re beautiful, beefy, matte-green with the enormous white and pink flowers the species is known for. Excellent candidates if you’re looking to grow a nice big specimen plant for shows, or just to have a pristine and large specimen in your collection.
Shipped bare root; pots are not included.
