Description
Non-locale or type specific Astrophytum capricorne, seed grown from my own plants! They’ve been grown under partial shade to protect them, so most are just starting to develop the distinctive spines this species is known for.
They are all about 2″ across, and I’d suggest potting them into a 4″ pot when you receive them. Once past the initial adjustment phase, they should be kept in nearly full sun where they can experience a nice hot summer.
They may get large enough to bloom this summer if kept properly, and will produce huge yellow flowers with brilliant orange centers. One of my favorite species thanks to the blooms!
