Description
A beautiful, fast-growing gasteria hybrid that produces thick, fleshy leaves and pups profusely. When grown in bright light, especially under at least a few hours of direct sunlight, the plants blush to a hazel-orange color.
Grows quickly to fill a container, but not so quickly as to need to be repotted every year. Not available in big box nurseries, this unique hybrid is only available via propagated cuttings and pups. For best appearance, grow in well-draining soil and offer fertilizer regularly during the warm growing months of spring, summer, and early fall.
Does best with well-draining soil, but doesn’t need special care beyond a nice cactus and succulent mix. Adjust placement for more or less sun based on your preferred appearance; for a deep green, place somewhere where the plant will receive only a few hours of direct morning sunlight, and is shaded the rest of the day. For more of the burnished, orange hues to display, place somewhere with increasing sun exposure. Afternoon sun combined with infrequent watering is a good combination for a more varied color appearance.
When shipped, the Gasteria are likely to lose most of their blushed coloring. Do not immediately place in full sun; allow the shipped plants to slowly acclimate to increased sun exposure over the course of a few weeks.
