Description

The Book Aloe gets its name from the way the young plants grow – in pairs, layered on top of each other, stacked like the pages of an open book.

They only grow this way while they are too young to bloom, as once they’ve decided they’re old enough to flower, they begin to grow in a spiral shape like other aloes. To keep them in the book shape longer, many growers will “hard grow” them – keeping them with minimal water and under relatively bright light.

These are seedlings, grown from ethically sourced seeds from an established South African nursery with their own growing grounds. They have been relatively hard grown for seedlings, kept with enough water to thrive and produce new leaves but not kept plump and pampered for fast growth to sale size. They are in 2″ pots and ready to be potted up to 4″ pots and grown to your own conditions.
